Japanese IT company set up Blockchain Lab in Malaysia & holds hackathon
Chaintope MALAYSIA SDN.BHD. (Hereinafter CHAINTOPE MY), a subsidiary of Chaintope (HQ: Fukuoka), which develops blockchains, announced that it will open a Blockchain Innovation Lab (Hereinafter BILab) in Kuala Lumpur.

According to a press release announced by Chaintope on 4th December, BILab is opens in the Fintech space "Orbit" operated by the Malaysian government agency MDEC (Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation) located in Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur.

Chaintope is expected to create innovative products, services and business models by gathering the technologies and ideas by creating a place where many engineers of BILab interact. Also, to promote the development of blockchain engineers whose demand is increasing.

In addition, as a kick-off event of BILab,  ‘GBEC Hackathon Malaysia 2018' will be held on December 15 and 16 under full cooperation of MDEC.
