Dualtap, Japanese-based real estate development company collaborate with Government-based company to welcome more Japanese development in Malaysia
On March 18, Cyberview held a signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
Dualtap is the first company in Japan that Cyberview, a subsidiary of Malaysia finance minister, has collaborate in support of business expansion. Dualtap will became a contact point between Cyberview and Japanese companies with a focus on high-tech industries, and provide information on preferential measures for Cyberjaya and comprehensive support before and after the expansion.
The collaboration can be said to be part of the Mahathir Administration's "Eastern Policy". The reason is that when Prime Minister Mahathir visited Japan in 2018, Mr. Najib, the managing director of Cyberview, went to meet with the officer of Dualtap.
With a base in Singapore, Dualtap manages approximately 6,000 homes in Johor Bahru in southern Malaysia, and its primarily focused on supporting foreign real estate investment by Japanese wealth person.
It is concluded that there will be mutually benefit by forming this collaboration as Dualtap is seeking attractive investment destination and Cyberview wants to attract foreign investments.
“Cyberjaya can be a hub for Southeast Asia business for IT companies. We can provide Japanese companies with a place and work with government ministries and agencies to help them get the necessary permits and approvals. We want Japanese companies to make further development in Malaysia.” said Mr. Najib from Cyberview.
Cyberjaya is designated as a comprehensive development area called Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC), which located at outskirts of Kuala Lumpur.
The Malaysian government grants “MSC Status” qualification to companies engaged in information and communications technology business through the Multimedia Development Corporation, and companies that have obtained MSC status qualification receive various incentives such as tax exemption.
